Now the Notice is forwarded to each unit concerned, please carry it out seriously.

Notice on Eight Measures to Cope with Current Economic Situation, Provide Service for Enterprises and Stabilize Employment

In order to implement a series of important decisions and deployments formulated by Municipal Party Committee and Government on coping with the current economic situation, provide service for enterprises, stabilize employment, render support to business establishment, and promote the healthy and stable development of the economy, eight measures are hereby made clear and formulated as follows.
I. Enhance the employment subsidy to encourage enterprises’ recruitment. From January 1, 2009, for labors in various urban enterprises who are regarded as having difficulty in finding jobs according to provisions in the Municipal Government’s Implementation Opinions on Further Strengthening Employment and Reemployment (No.111 [2006], issued by Wuxi Government) and in the Notice of Municipal Government Office, Forwarding the Implementation Opinions of the
Municipal Bureau of Labor and Social Security on Promoting Employment of Zero-Employment Families and Establishment of Community with Full Employment (No. 188[2007], issued by Wuxi Government Office), they are granted full subsidy according to the money paid by enterprises among various social insurance charges if signing employment contracts with duration more than 1 year with these enterprises according to regulations, and effecting social insurances; for various enterprises which are granted social insurance subsidy, the subsidy standard is increased from the former 50% to 100%. This policy is tentatively implemented until December 31, 2009.
II. Extend the duration of employment subsidy to stabilize the employment. For the urban enterprises and flexible employees that are granted social insurance subsidy in December, 2008, the time limit of the subsidy for them is attentively extended to December 31, 2009, provided that the time limit of the current subsidy is expired in 2009, the existing enterprises continue offering jobs, and the flexible employees are still in working state. For urban employing units that are granted commonweal job subsidies in December, 2008 and continue offering jobs to the existing employees who have difficulty in finding their jobs, the time limit of the subsidy for them is attentively extended to December 31, 2009.
