In the morning, the member of standing committee of Jiangsu Province, and YANG Weize, the secretary of Wuxi Municipal Government presided over the director discussion meeting within AFIE, and foreign invested enterprises in IPark. XU Jie, the member of standing committee of Wuxi Municipal Government and standing vice mayor as well as other related government leaders participated in the meeting.

Mr. Mark, the China regional president of Wuxi Cummins Turbo Technologies and chairman of AWIE, Mr. SHIGERU SUZUKI , the G.M. of Wuxi Fujitsu Ten Electronics, Mr. ZHAO Erchang, the special assistant of G.M. of   WUXI SPI TECHNOLOGY CO.,LTD  and Vice chairman of Taiwanese Association, as well as main directors of 8 foreign-invested enterprises including Sony Digital, Sharp Electronics, Panasonic Energy, Infineon Technologies, Dana Technologies, E-litecom, Pro-face Electronics, etc. Participants exchanged their ideas in the meeting and made speeches. They reported the economic situation and development trend of their own companies in the 1st quarter 2009, and raised reasonable suggestions for improving the current investment environment especially that of import and export trading. Wuxi Customs House and Labor Bureau made statement and explanations for the current policy and actions taken.

After listening to the voice of enterprises, Secretary Yang expressed that the government will make constantly adjustment in guide, policy, service and actions based on company demand. He pointed out that the most difficult point for keeping growth lies in import & export companies and foreign invested enterprises, so government offices shall study the situation and formulate  measures in a scientific way, and policies shall be made based on actual situation, so as to be more applicable and beneficial for company development. All policies shall be implemented strictly. Secretary Yang also said that Wuxi municipal government will establish policies by focusing on encouraging enterprises to adjust industrial structure, supporting enterprises to expand market, ensuring company functions and helping companies to reduce cost. He hopes that the government, enterprises and staffs can work hand in hand and walk over the difficulties.
